Pay them no compliments, and they’ll be as passionate and intense in their craft as they are now. The wealth, the name, the lights, the fame, they will all follow after succeeding on one goal they have to work on yet; to introduce the only reason why they make music, their King. During their high school days, Liane (vocalist) was seldom seen singing. Brenda (keyboard player) was child-at-heart. Sarah (bass player) was always the quiet one. Shay (drummer) never talked to any one of them because her batch is a year younger. And Hasse (guitar player) was the grade-conscious type of student. But the heart of music in each of them was already planted. Gifts and talents are there. It just took one person to finally act on the desire, and then Corsage was given birth. Believe it or not, not any one of them remembers who that person was. Funny.
They were walking in front of a big church in their hometown, in front of them were vendors selling flowers of different kinds. They were deciding on their official band name. Incidentally, Brenda shouted “Corsage!” And they all agreed. Obviously, name-picking was not a hassle. It may seem like there was no depth on the band’s name, but take a look at this. Sage, meaning a “learner,” could be found in it. And they all claim to be learners, people who are wise and are willing to rise up after a fall.
Gospel Revolution, a youth oriented battle of Christian bands all over Luzon, was the first competition they joined. “Bring it Back” was their composition which all people loved. They landed 2nd place on this event and then the following days were “student-days” again.
While busy at school works, a text message was received which was about a certain Globe activity for the youth. It was dubbed Globe Kantabataan. We passed our application form and our demo CD, then after weeks, we were called up. The song “Bukas” was composed and written by Hasse, and all-together arranged by the whole band. It was about how bright the future is if only young people like us realize our accountability and take it with sincerity. It was overwhelming to know how the people appreciated the heart of the song. They’ve gone this far and still a way to go!

This Baguio-based band is made up of five promising young men, each with their own unique musical influences ranging from jazz, funk and different blends of rock. This group of college buddies are on a continuous quest of finding their bands own musical signature. The bands members were from two defunct bands. Leandro Dingayan, Jayvee Natividad, and Dale Eslava from Blue-Berry Cheese Cake and Jhames Infante and Daniel dela Cruz from Lotus Klan. The band name means “Universal Happiness” an emotion that this tightly0knit bunch share when they do what they love to do. Play good music, they’re quite popular among their peers for their unique energy and undeniable stage presence. Their diverse personalities matched with their individual gifts fit perfectly under the band’s name and style. They were formed on June 2006 through initiative of Jayvee, then inactive members of Blue-Berry Cheese Cake invited Jhames to be the new bands vocalist. Later that year, on September, Jhames best friend former band-mate Daniel dela Cruz joined to complete the band’s rhythm section. Together they won their first band competition, held by localradio station 96.7 K-Lite. This was then followed by numerous competitions and event-performances that added on the bands repertoire; front-act for sandwich (SMB Oktoberfest 06), Alamid (SMB Fiesta-Panagbenga festical 06), Kjwan and Bamboo (Penshoppe-Bamboo campos tour) to name a few. All the members are currently taking up their respective bachelors degree at Sain Louis University in Baguio city.
